We had to write A report about Mary this week because its the month of May. My goal for the week was use language that is suitable to the topic, audience and purpose. Here is my report.

Mary the Mother of God

Introduction:
Mary was in the new testament.Mary is married to Joseph. She was an ordinary Jewish woman and  Nazareth was her home town. She was impregnated by God in a sinless way.

The Annunciation
This is when the Angel Gabriel visited Mary and told her she was going to be the mother of Jesus Christ. Mary was very scared about this.

The Visitation
Mary goes to visit her cousin Elizabeth and they both are pregnant .She had a cousin called Elizabeth and Elizabeth had a baby at an old age. The baby’s name was John the baptist then Mary had a baby named Jesus.

The Birth of Jesus
Mary and Joseph had to go home but they went to Joseph’s home town Bethlehem. When they got to Bethlehem they went to the inns but they were full so they stayed in a barn. While they were there Mary gave birth to Jesus. Mary wrapped Jesus up with cloth and laid him in a manger.

The Presentation of Jesus at the Temple
Mary and Joseph went to a temple to see Simeon who loved God. When Simeon saw Jesus he took him in his arms and blessed him and he knew that he was the promised child. He knew that he was the savior of the world. Mary and Joseph were amazed that their son was the savior of the world and there was a Person in the temple named Anna. Then Mary and Joseph went home to Nazareth.
The Marriage at Cana
One day Jesus and his disciples and mom went to a wedding in the middle of the party they ran out of wine so Jesus’s mother Mary told him they have no more wine left. Near Jesus was where six stone water jars Jesus told the servants to fill the jars up with water. When they were filled up and the servants dip some out and give it to the master of ceremonies so the servants did and when the master of ceremonies drank the water that is now wine and this is the first miracle that Jesus did.

Mary at the Cross
Mary was at the cross because Jesus was on it and he had the crown of thorns on his head. She was there with her sister and Mary Magdalene.
The Pentecost Story
When Jesus got back up to heaven his friends and helpers prayed together in a big room. Suddenly something amazing happened. First it sounded like a big wind blowing the next flame of fire upon everybody's Heads then God’s spirit came and began to speak in different languages this was what Jesus told them about. The gift from God the day that god's spirit came. there were people from different countries around them

Conclusion and a question.
Mary is an amazing lady and a great mother.

Wolves have predators like the Grizzly bear, Polar bear,Siberian tiger and other Wolves that are not in that pack and bobcats.

Grey Wolves mostly like to eat Moose, all kinds of Deer, Mountain goats, Hares, Beavers, Birds and fish. Red wolves mostly eat meat, rodents, rabbits, raccoons, deer, insects and berries.

Wolves can run up to 50-60km per hour. Wolves can swim up to 13 km which is a long way. A mother wolf can have up to five to eight pups per year. Baby wolves are called pups. A family of wolves is called a pack.

What's your favorite wolf?

My Maths tidy numbers

For maths my group had to do some tidy numbers and we did some problems. Our follow up was to do two word problems. My first problem is 385+488=?  I am going to solve it by using tidy numbers.

So I did was 385+488=?. So now what I did was 385-2=383 and now 488+2=490. 383+490=873.

Now I am working this problem. If I got 792 then I lost 674 dollars now using tidy numbers it will be 792-6=786. Then 674+6=680 so now it is now 786-680=106.

Here is one for you to try 865+139=
See if you can use tidy numbers.
